Important: This agreement is between AlphaTest (operated by Algomix Limited) and the parent/guardian of the child using our educational services. Parents/guardians are responsible for supervising their child's use of our platform.

2. Educational Service Description

  • AI-Powered Tutoring: Personalised learning assistance for Mathematics, English, Verbal Reasoning, and Non-Verbal Reasoning
  • Practice Materials: Age-appropriate questions and exercises aligned with UK 11+ curricula
  • Progress Tracking: Detailed analytics and reports for parents and children
  • Gamified Learning: Engaging features including streaks, achievements, and interactive elements

3. Age Requirements and Parental Responsibility

3.1 Age Restrictions

  • Our service is designed for children aged 8-13 years preparing for 11+ examinations
  • Accounts must be created and managed by a parent or legal guardian
  • Children under 13 cannot create accounts independently under UK law

3.2 Parental Supervision

Parents/guardians agree to:

  • Supervise their child's use of the platform
  • Ensure appropriate usage times and frequency
  • Monitor their child's progress and wellbeing
  • Report any concerns or issues immediately
  • Maintain the security of account login details

4. Account Terms and Usage

4.1 Account Creation

  • Parents/guardians must provide accurate information during registration
  • One account may be used by multiple children in the same household
  • Account sharing outside the immediate family is prohibited
  • You are responsible for maintaining account security

4.2 Acceptable Use

Users agree not to:

  • Share account credentials with unauthorized users
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer or copy our educational content
  • Use the service for commercial purposes
  • Upload harmful, inappropriate, or illegal content
  • Interfere with the platform's security or functionality
  • Create multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits

5. Subscription and Payment Terms

5.1 Subscription Plans

  • Family Plans: Discounted rates for multiple children

5.2 Payment Processing

  • Payments processed securely through Stripe
  • All prices include applicable UK VAT
  • Automatic renewal unless cancelled before the next billing cycle
  • Payment failures may result in service suspension

5.3 Cancellation Policy

  • Subscription Cancellation: Cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings
  • Access Continues: You retain access until the end of your current billing period
  • No Partial Refunds: Payments are non-refundable once made
  • Future Billing: Cancellation prevents future charges but does not refund current period

Important Educational Notice:

  • We cannot guarantee specific exam results or school admission outcomes
  • Individual results may vary based on the child's effort, ability, and other factors
  • We recommend combining our platform with other study methods and professional tutoring where appropriate

    9. Limitation of Liability

    • Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for the service in the preceding 12 months
    • We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages
    • We do not guarantee specific educational outcomes or exam results
    • Users are responsible for their own learning outcomes and exam preparation

    Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for: Death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.

    10. Termination

    10.1 Termination by You

    • Cancel your subscription anytime through your account settings
    • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
    • Access continues until the end of the paid period
    • Account data retained for 30 days after cancellation for reactivation

    10.2 Termination by Us

    We may suspend or terminate accounts for:

    • Violation of these Terms of Service
    • Non-payment of subscription fees
    • Fraudulent or abusive behaviour
    • Technical or security concerns

    • No Social Features: No chat, messaging, or social interaction features to ensure safety
    • Stress Management: Built-in break reminders and positive reinforcement to prevent learning stress

    • Report Concerns: Immediate reporting system for any safety or wellbeing concerns
    • Professional Standards: All staff undergo DBS checks and child protection training

    12. Updates and Changes

    • We may update these Terms to reflect changes in law or our service
    • Significant changes will be notified by email 30 days in advance
    • Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance
    • Previous versions of Terms available upon request

    13. Governing Law and Disputes

    • These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales
